These Terms govern your use of sometools.com (the "Site"), operated by Sometools LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company ("we", "us", "our"). By using the Site you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Site.
1. The service
The Site offers free, browser-based utility tools (calculators, converters, generators, etc.). The tools run in your browser; we don't store the data you put into them.
2. License to use the Site
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Site for your own personal or internal business use. You may not reverse-engineer, decompile, scrape, mirror, or rehost the Site or its tools.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Site for anything illegal;
- Attempt to disrupt or compromise the Site, its infrastructure, or its other users;
- Use automated systems to access the Site in ways that exceed normal browser use;
- Upload or input content you don't have the right to use.
4. Intellectual property
The Site's code, design, and branding are owned by Sometools LLC. The data you put into a tool, and the output the tool produces from your input, remain yours; we don't claim any rights over them.
5. Disclaimers
The Site is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. The tools are provided for general informational purposes only. Calculators on the Site (including the Certificate of Deposit calculator and the Scrap Silver calculator) are informational and not professional financial advice; do your own diligence before relying on any number.
6. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sometools LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of the Site. Because the Site is provided free of charge, our aggregate liability to you for any direct damages is capped at zero US dollars.
7. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Sometools LLC harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising out of your misuse of the Site or your violation of these Terms.
8. Third-party services and ads
The Site links to third-party services and, on tool pages, displays third-party advertising. We don't control those services or ads, and their terms and privacy policies govern your interaction with them.
9. Termination
We may discontinue, restrict, or modify access to the Site (or to specific tools) at any time without notice.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Site will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Wyoming, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms; the "Last updated" date will reflect the most recent change. Your continued use of the Site after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
